Rev. Derrick Hurst is Pastor at Living Word Lutheran Church in Galena, Ohio. He previously served as Missionary-at-Large for the Ohio District and Assistant Pastor at Christ Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

An Ohio native, Rev. Hurst received his M.Div. from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2002 and his BA from Concordia University-Ann Arbor, MI in 1998.

Rev. Hurst has served as a Circuit Visitor and is a member of the New Ministry Task Force. He's worked as a church planter and assisted in strategic planning. He has served as a Consecrated Stewards facilitator and pastoral advisor for the Ohio District Youth Ministry Team for the Ohio District.
