Senior High Gathering

Winter Mini-Gathering Events

March 12 and 13, 2022

Cincinnati, Columbus, Napoleon, Cleveland regions

Senior High teens are busier than many in today's society with school, jobs, sports and friends. How do we help keep them connected to Christian friends, the church and more importantly - Jesus? One weekend a year, the one prior to Thanksgiving, the Ohio District hosts a Gathering just for high school youth and their chaperones. It has meaningful presentations, discussions, worship, music, service and more all coordinated by the high school teens on the Ohio District Youth Ministry Team.

The dates and locations are:

  • Saturday, March 12, Messiah, Cincinnati (Southern Region)
  • Saturday, March 12, St. John, Dublin (Central Region)
  • Sunday, March 13, St. John, Defiance (Northwest Region)
  • Sunday, March 13, Royal Redeemer, North Royalton (Northeast Region)

(Note: You may register for the event in a different region if it fits your group’s needs)

The Mini-Gathering in each location will go from 1:00 to 8:30 p.m. with Registration opening at 12:30 p.m.

Each day, while the first location is having music and the keynote presentation in the afternoon, the other location will be having Bible Study, Community Building and other breakout sessions. When the ‘assembly’ in the first location has ended, the presenters will move on to the second location. Everyone will be getting keynotes by Bob Lenz and music by the Scally Brothers for the assemblies.

The cost for the 2022 Winter Mini-Gathering is $50 per person. This fee covers the honorarium and travel costs for our presenters. A dinner meal and snacks are also included at each location.

The post-mark deadline to register is February 15, 2022.

All REGISTRATION forms, LIABILITY RELEASE forms and ENTIRE payment on one church check for each group should be sent to:
Ohio District LCMS
P. O. Box 38277

Adults are also welcome. EVERYONE must register. EACH YOUTH GROUP must have an appropriate number of adult chaperones. NO YOUTH should attend alone.

At this time, appropriate measures are planned for social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
