Mission & Vision
As congregations of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we see ourselves as part of the universal Christian Church, relying on the Sacred Scriptures as the sole and final norm for faith and life. We wholeheartedly subscribe to the Church's ecumenical creeds (Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian) as correct statements of Biblical faith. We hold fast to the Lutheran Confessions (as found in the Book of Concord of 1580) as correct expositions of that Biblical faith.
Our Mission
The Ohio District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod assists its congregations to fulfill the Great Commission in ways that are faithful to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions through:
- Healthy congregations functioning as mission outposts, that are led by
- Healthy professional church workers, who are developing
- Healthy partnerships among congregations, District, and Synod.
Our Vision
We work and pray that we would be a community of Christian congregations, faithful to the Word of God, and committed to supporting each congregation's efforts to be an agent of God's love from its neighborhood to the ends of the earth.
Our Beliefs
We believe the universe and all that is in it is the creation of the loving God. In Jesus Christ, God has given everything for the redemption of the world from sin and death. We believe God has placed us in the world to be agents of his loving purposes for all people. We do all we can to bring the Good News of the free gift of God's salvation in Jesus Christ to everyone.
