The Ohio District Board of Directors met on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the District office. The opening devotion focused on God's ample grace, so the Board members rejoiced in God's grace and sang, "By Grace I'm Saved, Grace Free and Boundless." Here are the various items which the Board considered –

A. District Workers
+ The Board approved the renewable three-year call of Mr. Travis Grulke, District Superintendent of Schools on a contingent basis.
+ In view of the recent resolution at the Synodical convention, licensed deacons who have been serving full Word and Sacrament ministries will take a regional colloquy examination. B. District Finances
+ Lisa Rachul, District Treasurer reported that The District continues to show a positive balance for available unrestricted cash. District Mission Support revenue is trending close to the same period as last year. The current plans for the excess unrestricted cash is to hold it in savings because there are several churches that are struggling and may close.
+ At this time the District has no need to lower our support to the Synod, especially given our current cash position. However, the District will look more into providing more mission grants.
