jamie noydJamie Noyd currently serves as Campus Ministry Coordinator for the LCMS congregations in Greater Cincinnati. Away from campus she enjoys times with family and ventures out on pilgrimages.

Her story revolves around Christ, campuses, and church. W hile her father was finishing his dissertation at the University of Oregon in Eugene, she came into the world and was baptized. Several years later she moved with her parents to Kentucky where her father taught economics at Northern Kentucky University an d her mother raised a growing family. Participating in the life of Bethany Lutheran Church in Erlanger, Kentucky from a young age, Jamie learned about the joys and challenges of living in a Christian community.

When the time was right, she attended and graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts where being part of a campus ministry changed how she thought about Christianity. What had only been part of Sundays and a few other days throughout the year, now became a central to all parts of life. Upon returning to Cincinnati, she worked as an economic analyst for a local utility and then as a strategic planner for the Cincinnati Zoo’s Education Department. During this time she continued to serve Bethany in a variety of roles. She eventually earned an M.A. in English and then couldn’t stop. While working as a program director for Notre Dame AmeriCorps in Cincinnati she completed her doctoral research in literature and religion - exploring the idea of literary pilgrimage. Through this life journey she has continued to experience and learn how Christ is at the center of all life.
