Ministry in Mission was founded by Jaclyn Rychel and her husband, Mark Rychel. What began as a small mission effort through their home church, St. Mark-Chesterland has evolved into a vibrant 501-3-C nonprofit organization.  They have been providing humanitarian & religious support to Haiti since 2006. Their base is in Jacmel, the 4th largest city in Haiti. In 2018, MnM earned the honored distinction of becoming a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS Church.

Ministry in Mission supports an eldercare facility and orphanage, provides hot meals to hundreds of children and elderly through several feeding programs, and runs a school sponsorship program. They also operate a guesthouse, which is used by many LCMS church teams and other mission groups each year. churchpews-haitiOne simple way in which we help the Haitian people is by facilitating sending them church pews that are no longer needed by U.S. churches.  If you are aware of a congregation that is either closing or upgrading their facilities, and has used pews which are in good condition that they no longer need, we would appreciate it if you would tell them about the opportunity to repurpose them for use in Haiti.
